La MOVIMENTO FILM è una società di distribuzione fondata nel dicembre 2007 da autori e produttori, uniti dal desiderio di accorciare le distanze tra il cinema di qualità e il pubblico.
La difficoltà di trovare distribuzione in Italia anche per i film, italiani e stranieri, che si sono distinti nei maggiori festival internazionali ha spinto un gruppo di cineasti a lanciarsi in questa avventura. I fatti hanno dimostrato che in passato alcuni film distribuiti con cura direttamente dai produttori del film hanno dato risultati significativi e superiori alle aspettative.
La MOVIMENTO nasce ispirandosi a questi esempi e dalla spinta che ha unito recentemente chi, per amore del cinema e della libertà di espressione, ha dato vita al rinnovamento del cinema italiano.
La MOVIMENTO vuole rendere più solido e continuativo il coinvolgimento di produttori e autori nella distribuzione dei film. Iniziando il suo percorso con RIPARO, la MOVIMENTO intende formare un listino composto, principalmente, dai film italiani e stranieri dell'ultima generazione di autori che sono emersi nei festival internazionali.
E' obiettivo della MOVIMENTO aiutare i produttori indipendenti che si sono distinti per aver prodotto film originali e innovativi a crescere e a costruirsi un pubblico. La MOVIMENTO privileggerà la distribuzione in sala di film italiani e stranieri, esplorando anche le opportunità offerte dal cinema digitale e dalle nuove tecnologie di diffusione. Interlocutori privilegiati di questa scelta editoriale non potranno che essere i circuiti di cinema qualità insieme agli esercenti più sensibili al cinema di d'essai.

MOVIMENTO is a brand new film distribution company established in 2007 by a group of Italian directors and producers who joined forces to draw Italian audiences back into art house cinemas.
MOVIMENTO was created as a response to the ongoing challenge of releasing art house movies in Italy. The modus operandi is to strongly involve filmmakers as distribution partners thereby nurturing a closer dialogue with a wider audience.
MOVIMENTO is the new window on our changing world, distributing movies reflecting the zeitgeist, connecting the conflict and transformation generated by cultural, ethnic, personal and generational differences.
MOVIMENTO began its operation in January 2008, releasing the award winning film SHELTER (Riparo) by Marco Simon Puccioni, which was the critically acclaimed Italian entry for the Panorama Section of the 57th Berlinale. The film had a small, but remarkable box office success, running in theatres for several months.
MOVIMENTO is constantly searching for movies of emerging and established talents that have been highlighted in the international scene and have developed a peculiar film language that help us to better understand our world. Among other recent titles in distribution: ALEXANDRA by Aleksandr Sokurov - a master of contemporary cinema (in competition at the 60th Cannes Film Festival) and CORAZONES DE MUJER by Kiff Kosoof ( 58th Berlin Film Festival in the Panorama section ).
